We’ve used different hosting services for the website: DigitalOcean, Amazon, Azure – all of them are great to use and they provide the free tiers for you to try. As for the speed – that would really depends on dozens aspects. But the golden rule is to use only the libraries which you really need in the project – that helps keeping the app fast/small 🙂
